Termites

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE TERMITES?

Termites can be difficult to spot because they often hide inside wood or underground. Some common signs include:

• Mud tubes on exterior walls or foundation
• Damaged or hollow-sounding wood
• Discarded wings near windows, doors, or other entry points

The safest way to know for sure is to schedule a professional termite inspection. Our licensed technicians can identify active infestations and recommend the best treatment or protection plan for your home.

DO YOU OFFER TERMITE CONTRACTS OR LETTERS FOR HOME SALES?

Yes! We offer inspections, clearance letters for real estate, and one-year renewable contracts with or without retreat guarantees.

WHAT DOES A TERMITE TREATMENT INCLUDE?

Treatments vary by property, but generally include a full inspection, trenching or drilling as needed, and long-term protection.

WHY SHOULD I RENEW MY TERMITE POLICY EACH YEAR?

Termite protection isn’t a one-time treatment, it’s an ongoing process. Annual renewal ensures year-round coverage and allows us to monitor for any new signs of activity.

Will my homeowner’s insurance cover termite damage?

Unfortunately, no. Termites cause about $5 billion dollars in damage to structures each year and is often not covered by homeowner’s insurance policies.

How long will the termite treatment take?

What type of termite treatments do you provide?

We provide liquid soil treatments. Soil treatments provide a chemical barrier around a structure, which aim to deny termites access to the structure. These treatments can be applied during construction or post construction. However, during construction, which we call a “pre-treat” is the most economical method. If you would like more information, please see our termite services page.

Bed Bugs

Is it true that bed bugs only like dirty environments?

Not at all. Bed bugs can hitch a ride into any home, clean or dirty. Clutter just gives them more places to hide, so keeping spaces tidy makes detection and treatment easier.

Do bed bugs just inhabit beds?

No, bed bugs can take shelter in a variety of places including beds, headboards, dressers, couches, nightstands, curtains, tables, electronics, personal belongings, outlets, baseboards, and more. They seek out dark tight spaces and are the ultimate hitchhiker. However, they prefer to hide in spaces close to their host and locate their host by the carbon dioxide they exhale while breathing. So, the bed is definitely a preferred hang out.

Do bed bugs carry diseases?

Bed bugs are known to carry diseases; they are not known to transmit diseases to humans, unlike mosquitoes or ticks. However, their bites can cause itching, welts, and discomfort.

Fleas

Where do fleas live?

Fleas prefer to live on their host, and target domestic warm-blooded animals such as dogs and cats. However, they can be found on other wildlife as well. Unless removed or killed fleas will live on their chosen host their entire life. Yet, fleas can infest other locations such as a home, because the eggs laid on a host easily fall off into pet bedding, couches, carpets and other areas. This is where they stay until they are ready to find a suitable host.

Do fleas carry diseases?

Yes, fleas are important carriers of parasites or disease organisms. The organisms or parasites that a flea may be carrying depend on the species of flea. Two commonly encountered flea species are the cat and/or dog flea. Both species are carriers of an endoparasite typically known as dog tapeworm, Dipylidium caninum (Linnaeus).

What are the best ways to prevent fleas?

Do fleas bite?

Yes, fleas can bite. Fleas are prone to feed on animals and household pets. However, they are known to bite humans as well. Flea bites will show up on your skin as red bumps and will be itchy.
